New Nigerian LGBTQ+ series coming, developed by Alibi Investigations

There is a new podcast series coming called The Outsiders. It is being produced by Nigerian Multimedia Journalist Todah Opeyemi with production support from Alibi Investigations.

The Outsiders is designed to be a three-part narrative podcast series about how LGBTQ+ Nigerians are gaining access to healthcare despite the country's discriminatory laws.

“This work will explore how inclusive and accessible tailored healthcare is available for many members of the community,” says Opeyemi. “It will also spotlight NGOs, activists, and individuals who are stepping in with various unique interventions.”

Production is due to start in the first week of November. Opeyemi will start by interviewing sources and following NGOs, activists and individuals on some of their intervention programs.

“I'm especially super grateful for Paul McNally's advice and support leading to this preproduction stage and I'm proud to be a member of this community as well!” he says.

We look forward to seeing how The Outsiders develops into a full series.
